THE FISHER HOUSE
| A Fisher House™ is "a home away from
home" for families of patients receiving medical care at major
military and VA medical centers and is similar to the Ronald
McDonald Houses near major civilian hospitals throughout the
country. There are 38 Fisher Houses with several new houses under
construction — the only Fisher House in North Carolina is located at
Fort Bragg. Its Web site is being redesigned. For more information

The needs of the Fisher House are significant.We are accepting donations of paper goods i.e. paper
towels, paper plates, bathroom tissue etc. Kindly bring these items to our
monthly meetings and they will be delivered to the Fisher
House.
Suzanne Rucker has graciously offered to deliver the goods to the Fisher House.
Monthly contributions from our club in support of the Fisher House are part of our commitment to community involvement, most
especially support of our military personnel and their families. Members are asked to bring to meetings donations that help
with the day-to-day needs of the families staying at the Fisher House and maintenance of the Fisher House. Our members bring
the items, i.e. paper goods, cleaning supplies and canned/packaged foods to our monthly meetings, and our Caring for America
Committee delivers these items monthly.
All donations to the Fisher House are tax deductible.
