PRESS RELEASES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  June 11, 2008

North Carolina GOP names Delegates to the National Convention.

At the NC GOP Convention, held June 6th through June 7th, delegates to the National Convention were elected. Suzanne Rucker and Kirby Tyson, members of the Cumberland County Republican Women’s Club, and Diane Wheatley, associate member of the CCRWC, were named as Alternate Delegates for the Republican National Convention to be held September 1st – 4th, in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  February 3, 2008

Gathering together to define their goals for upcoming legislation, Suzanne Rucker and Paulette Munson joined other Republican women from across the state in Concord, NC. “We will be using our feminine strength across the state to promote the passing of House Bill 263, that punishes those who do harm to an unborn child”, Suzanne Rucker declared. “House Bill 493 and Senate Bill 13, also known as the ‘Defense of Marriage Bill’, and support and promote any and all legislation to prohibit the issuance of drivers licenses to those who are in the state illegally”, she continued. “Jessica’s Law, also known as House Bill 933, will also be on our agenda to bring to a final ‘Yes’ vote’” added Paulette Munson.

Republican women of the Cumberland County Republican Women’s Club will be circulating petitions to present in Raleigh for the passing of these initiatives. “It is our hope to gather as many signatures as possible,” Suzanne Rucker announced, after attending the winter board meeting of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women.

The Cumberland County Republican Women’s Club, is one of over 60 clubs in the statewide organization. These women recruit and train candidates, run campaigns, and Speak out for conservative issues.
